If you are reading this... you found our blog! Here we are a year later and all is well at the Montieth house.
Katie turned 9 in November and is still the princess of our house. She is doing 2 dance classes this year, hip-hop and ballet. She is enjoying 3rd grade, loves spending time with her friends, and bossing her brothers around. She likes taking care of her cats and her new bunny, Smokey.
Garret is 11 and a 6th grader at our local Middle School. Hard to believe he is already old enough to head off in the morning with his older brother. He is playing the clarinet (a step toward the saxophone) in the band. He is enjoying his advanced math class and science this year. Everyone loves Garret's sense of humor and zest for life!
Conner is 15 and a Sophomore at the High School. He finished up driver's ed this fall and is awaiting the 9th of March when he turns 16! Also got his braces off (finally)! Conner continues to play trumpet in the pep band, marching band and concert band. He loves having his own bedroom after our remodeling project in the Spring. He is our right-hand man for household chores and takes on responsiblity without complaint.
We took another fun trip to Maui in April (thanks to Hawaiian Airlines issues the first time we went... free ticket vouchers) and had a wonderful time on the beach and whale watching! This summer we also took a 2 week "road trip" with the Miracles and the Ladners... which included visiting our college friend Chris in Montana, Yellowstone National Park, The Grand Tetons, Jackson Hole, Stanley (Idaho) and visited the Pegrams and more friends in Boise on the way home... such a great trip with lots of fun memories!
We welcomed to the family Kayela Grace Budvarson (Marc's sister Allison and her husband Chad's first baby) on June 28th.
Marc is still working at Midway Sewer and I am still teaching at Foothills Elementary. We both keep busy with the kids activities. I am currently the WREA Vice-President which means more meetings for me. I have 27 first graders again this year and had a student teacher who just finished up. Marc and Conner hunted both elk and deer again this year. We continue to camp as much as we can with our motorhome and love to take the boat out fishing, shrimping and crabbing.
We enjoy keeping up with most of you on Facebook, email, phone calls or letters. We plan on spending the holidays here at home with family.
God's Grace and Blessing to you All... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
